Nava Nritya
Dance Academy of Philadelphia trains dance enthusiasts of ALL ages in Bharatnatyam
(South Indian Classical Dance) and Navanritya (contemporary synthesis of
classical dance forms, martial arts, yoga and ballet).
This institution was founded in February 2004 as a training school and
has evolved into a close-knit family of 30 students and 5 senior trained
dancers. Comprehensive classes are held in a beautiful ballet dance
studio (fully mirrored) in the heart of suburban Philadelphia on Sunday
afternoons.
Students also gain
knowledge in fundamentals of other classical dance forms and folk dances
to develop a strong foundation essential for becoming a true exponent
and choreographer of the powerful language of Indian Traditional and
Contemporary Art.
Students enrolled at Nava
Nritya Dance Academy also get opportunities to perform at various
prestigious events & corporate shows in the Philadelphia area, in
association with professional dance troupe Navrang.
This institution was established in January 2004 and currently two
advanced groups of students (adults and children) have completed 5+
years of classical dance lessons and two groups of children are in their
second and third year of lessons, respectively.
All classes are FULL currently, however you can sign up for our waiting

Based on level and nature of prior Indian classical dance experience,
new students can be considered after a detailed evaluation process.
